Time Trial Postponed on Saturday May 24th, 2025

Unfortunately, due to the Met Eireann forecast of a small craft warning for Galway Bay on Saturday, the swim time trial has been postponed. The rescheduled date is as follows
New Date: Saturday, June 7th, 2025 @ 2.00 PM
Location: Blackrock Tower, Salthill.
All registered swimmers for the 2025 Galway Bay Swim are required to attend the swim trial.
- Registration will be from 1.30 PM at Blackrock Tower, Salthill, Galway.
- Solo swimmers must complete the 4 km open water swim time trial at Blackrock, Salthill in a time of under 95 minutes.
- All Relay team members must complete a 2 km swim in under 50 minutes.
- Swim tow floats are mandatory for the time trial.
- If you are planning to swim Galway Bay in togs, then the time trial must be completed in togs.
- Note: Overseas swimmers can complete a ‘verified’ qualifying swim and submit the Form on our website.
If there are adverse weather conditions forecast, a final decision will be made on going ahead with the time trial no later than 6.00 pm on Friday evening prior to the trial and registered swimmers will be notified via the email address you registered with on Eventbrite.
