The annual Frances Thornton Memorial Galway Bay Swim in aid of Cancer Care West which is now in its 16th year will be taking place virtually throughout the whole month of August this year.
So, this year in order to ensure that Cancer Care West raises the vital funds it needs in order to ensure its services are available to cancer patients and supports to their families, the charity is calling on you to swim 13km in August. You choose where you want to swim and how many metres each day. Everybody that raises over €100 receives a tech T-shirt and a branded swim cap.
Last years Virtual Swim was a huge success with swimmers from all over the world signing up and completely their swim distance in rivers, lakes, pools and the sea. You choose when you want to swim and where.
